QR Code Download

Use the following QR Code to download the application on either IOS or Android Devices, and then follow the guides below.

Android Application

Our Android application is now open to all Android devices on the Google Play Store.

If you wish to participate, please follow this link, use the QR Code above, or search for "Dungeness River" in the app store.

After you have installed the application, please remember to turn off the battery optimization and drag the widget onto your home screen.

Turning off Battery Optimization

After installation, ensure that battery optimization is turned off. Without this, the application will not automatically refresh.

This is located by selecting the application and long-pressing on the application icon to bring up the menu.
Then go into the application settings (usually the i), and select "Battery"
Set the battery to be "unrestricted," which tells the phone not to put the application to sleep.

Drag the Widget onto your Home Screen

After you have set the battery optimization, you can install the widget on your home screen.

Long-press on your screen, and choose "Widgets"
Scroll down to the "Dungess River Flow" widgets and choose the size you want, and drag it onto your main screen.
The widget will refresh on its own periodically, but if you want to get the latest sample from the server, simply tap on the flow rate number.

IOS Application

The IOS Application is open to all Apple Phones and Tablets running IOS. We encourage you to make sure your device is up to the later version of IOS, as the widget requires IOS Version 14.

The application is now available in the Apple App Store. To download, simply use the QR Code shown above, which will take you to your Apple App Store, and the product page.

Install the Application. After installation, drag the widget onto the home page by;

Long-press on an empty place on the home page until you see the Edit in the top left corner.
Tap on Edit and then Add Widget
Scroll down to Dungeness Status and tap on the name
Please select one of the two different-sized widgets and press and hold it on top of the one you want. Then, drag it onto your home screen.
